Report on Free Zone Convention - November 12th to November 14th 1993

By John Donaldson England

This year's International Convention took place in the centre of the
historic city of Lyons where the 2 major rivers of Southern France
(the Rhone and the Soane) converge. This was a fitting choice as the
theme of the Convention was 'Synergie' (the combining of disparate
talents and abilities to achieve a greater whole.)

Attendees came from all over the world including Brazil, United States
and Australia and from the major European countries.

There was of course a programme of speakers on major topics but in
addition there were slots for people to report informally on their
particular projects. As always one is surprised at the wide range
of activities that able beings get involved in, to improve conditions
on this planet.

The lectures covered such topics as:-

New learning technologies (a very interesting way of using
'Superlearning'
which makes learning actually fun and can be applied to training
auditors),
Stars and Galaxies, predictions for the next 20 years, applying tech
in your personal life, new assists for handling the body organisation,
using tech in running a business and other interesting topics.

The material pleasures of eating and drinking were given adequate
time and attention and many entertainments and surprises were laid
on. These included games, music and other artistic contributions.
The music of Bill Robertson which was played during the weekend is
now available on compact disc or audio cassette. (If you would like
more information please contact Maria Maloney, c/o Groothius, 35
Lingfield
Road, East Grinstead, West Sussex, England.

There was a wide range of publications and other tools for spiritual
advancement on display and for sale (including IVy!)

Next year's convention will take place in Southern Germany and it
is hoped that many more IVy readers will be able to attend.
